SBA’s Interior Design division is growing from strength to strength and in recent years has expanded beyond a support role to a specialist consultancy service. Whilst projects vary widely in scope, budget and complexity, each project is progressed with the same attention to quality, value and detail as well as creative input and ambition to exceed the Client’s expectations. The team’s expertise in bespoke design, detailing, space planning, finishes and FF&E specifications covers a broad range of sectors.
Zib Gotto, who heads the team, is an active Committee Member of the British Council for Offices (BCO) and a long-standing member of The Green Register of Construction Professionals. All SBA’s interior designers are passionate about design, have a keen interest in new product developments and strive to seamlessly integrate sustainable and inclusive solutions as appropriate. Projects are approached as holistic entities with Interiors providing imaginative and textural designs that complement and respond to the architecture, site and context - optimising access to daylight and acoustic comfort where possible.
Repeat business accounts for over 90% of the workload, a testament to the consistent, successful delivery of projects and evidence of the effective collaboration, efficient processes and smart solutions which allow SBA to remain competitive and earn the trust of clients and partners.
The interior team can provide assistance with the following, either as a standalone or comprehensive service:
- Concept design
- 2-3D visualisations
- Space planning and audits
- Bespoke design
- Design development
- FF&E procurement
- Contract administration

- Wellbeing enhancements
- Accessibility and inclusivity improvements
As with all our Directors Martin looks to take a very hands on approach with all his projects often acting as the ‘Project Architect’ and will bring his experiences of working directly on some outstanding projects for nearly two decades. Martin is a highly driven professional with a strong eye for detail, this is clear from his designs which are tailored to the unique requirements of the project.
Having worked both internationally and extensively in the UK, Zib has gained wide-ranging experience, technical expertise and creative vision to generate unique inspiring interior designs with optimum functionality.
“A huge thank you, for the excellent design and management of these projects, there were lots of complex areas which were over two sites and we are receiving some truly wonderful feedback and I am so appreciative of your continuous desire to achieve the very best for us. The feedback from staff and students has been amazing, like none I have ever heard at the College and the colours are a real talking point and bring such vibrancy to the environment. Thank you so much.”

“Following a successful handover of Greenwich House yesterday I wanted to drop you all a quick line to say thank you for all playing your part in overcoming some substantial hurdles to deliver what can be seen as a very successful project.”
“All members of the Design Team must be congratulated for drawing, re-drawing and then value engineering in what, at times, must have felt like Groundhog Day. We are ensuring that the University are aware of the commitment and professionalism which was demonstrated by all of you for often little financial return. “
