Saunders Boston Architects collaborated with Pellikaan construction to deliver the Rivermead Leisure Centre for Reading Borough Council and Greenwich Leisure Ltd.

The SBA team worked closely with the delivery team to create an affordable design that meets Sport England's technical standards, a key funder, while also crafting a standout building for the Reading community.

The leisure centre features a significant wet side, which includes a regional short course 8-lane 25m pool, a splash pad, and a teaching/diving pool with a movable floor. On the dry side, there is a 120-station fitness suite, three studios, a café, a soft play area, and a 6-court sports hall.
