91 number 1 and 2 bedroom apartments, communal facilities and associated secured gardens and car parking; plus 16 number 1 and 2 bedroom later living bungalows. Project forms one phase of a larger residential development of 350 new homes.
Detailed thermal analysis informed the fenestration on all elevations to provide sufficient ventilation to avoid overheating to comply with Part F and O of the Building Regulations.
A Light Gauge steel-frame volumetric solution was used which required a lot of detailed upfront design to ensure architectural, structural and servicing requirements were carefully co-ordinated. IFC models from each consultant were imported into our master Revit/BIM file to allow detailed clash detection during the design stage.
